Diagrams are essential to manage and communicate the transformation of your enterprise architecture. Although LeanIX supports a wide range of shape libraries, our default shape style is always used when adding Fact Sheets from the inventory to the canvas. Recognizing the benefits of adhering to your established or industry diagramming standards, we plan to streamline the visual modeling and increase user productivity by letting you:
Define templates for mapping Fact Sheet types and relations to your preferred choice of shapes, color, line type, etc.
Define templates for Fact Sheets on the category level, e.g., IT Component with subtype Service is represented differently than with another subtype (Hardware, Software, etc.)
Manage different shape libraries on the workspace level and select and adapt shape templates on the individual diagram.
If you have any questions or want to provide feedback:
Great news! We have released this feature to give you more flexibility in representing fact sheet types and subtypes in our diagram editor. See: https://updates.leanix.net/announcements/fact-sheet-shape-templates-for-diagrams We welcome feedback and will continue to work on this functionality as well as developing the ability to add configurable relations.
Unfortunately, due to an expanded project scope based on changed architectural decisions, we are experiencing an increased amount of additional work in the implementation of this topic.
However, we remain committed to delivering a comprehensive and effective solution. As a result, the topic will not be completed in Q2, but is expected to take until the middle of Q3.
Great news! Thank you for your feedback. This topic is now on our roadmap for Q1.
